Eva is a trauma-informed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who integrates systemic, somatic, and attachment-based approaches to cultivate a therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move towards healing with curiosity and self-compassion.
As a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern with Root & Rise Collective, Eva works with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families navigating trauma, grief, infidelity, relationship challenges, life transitions, neurodivergence, anxiety, disordered eating, OCD, depression, C-PTSD and an array of diverse human experiences. She approaches each client with warmth, authenticity, and the understanding that what clients often perceive as broken is actually a valiant attempt from their nervous systems (and internal parts) to keep them safe – However she also recognizes that without support these valiant attempts can often inadvertently lead to feelings of overwhelm, disconnection, isolation and dysregulation.
Eva practices through a systemic, attachment-based lens, and recognizes that client struggles rarely exist in isolation. She supports clients in shifting from the narrative, “What’s wrong with me?” to “This is how I survived, but not how I have to live.” Together, therapy becomes a collaborative process of understanding and shifting protective survival patterns, healing relational wounds, cultivating self-compassion, reconnecting with the wisdom of the body, and building an empowered existence that is rooted in authenticity, and connection.
Her work integrates Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and cognitive/collaborative approaches. Eva is especially passionate about holistic healing that honors the inseparable relationship between the mind and body. She has a particular interest in helping clients heal from developmental and Complex PTSD through a combination of parts work, mindfulness, somatic experiencing and additional experiential approaches that move beyond cognitive insight alone.
Eva has a particular passion for working with couples, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and families through trauma recovery, intimacy/sexuality concerns, life transitions, and with any and all clients who are seeking to better understand themselves. Whether you’re navigating conflict with a partner, carrying the weight of past experiences, questioning long-held beliefs, or are simply feeling stuck, Eva would be honored to walk alongside and collaboratively guide you towards your best self.
Eva offers therapy at a reduced intern rate through Root & Rise Collective. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and is committed to providing affirming, culturally responsive, and inclusive care.
