Janelle is heart-centered, warm, and direct — the kind of therapist who will slow down with you, ask the hard questions, and hold space for all of it. She works with couples navigating disconnection, conflict, or a longing to feel closer again, and with individuals moving through anxiety, depression, grief, and confusing life transitions. If you identify as highly sensitive, empathic, or neurodivergent — or feel the weight of today’s cultural and climate challenges — Janelle understands, and she’s here for it.
As a systems therapist, Janelle helps contextualize each client’s experience by identifying the relational, cultural, and systemic layers at play. No struggle exists in isolation, and her work honors that complexity.
Many of Janelle’s clients have been in therapy before. They’re insightful and self-aware and still feel stuck. This is where somatic work comes in. Rather than working from the top down like traditional talk therapy, Janelle works from the bottom up, beginning by listening to the body first and building meaning from there. She draws from Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (parts work), and transpersonal and spiritual perspectives.
When working with couples, Janelle draws from PACT therapy, which merges the neuroscience of attachment with body-based nervous system regulation in relationship. Together, they slow way down, tracking the moments when tension appears in the body and tending to the felt sense of safety before moving into emotional processing and communication work.
Clients can expect warmth and compassion balanced with direct feedback and real perspective.
