Therapist for adolescents, adults and couples

Tara Doudy MA, LPCC, believes deeply in her clients’ capacity to better themselves, guiding them with insight and support while ultimately allowing her clients the final say in the direction of their work together. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process, helping clients uncover self-awareness so they can make informed decisions that feel most aligned with their values.

Her therapeutic approach is unique for each client and couple, with her top priority being that every client feels seen, heard, and validated before focusing on intervention or theory. Tara draws from narrative therapy, existential therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. She specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and couples who may be navigating trauma, eating disorders, attachment issues, anxiety, and depression.

Tara’s experience and education are rooted in Colorado. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. Over the past five years, she has worked in non-profits, agencies, and private practice settings.
